The Vibrating Tarot Font was brought together because of my duties as an illustrator to digitally draw each of the toys in the Tarot deck. I’m a typographer and graphic designer, so I just naturally came up with the idea of developing a font out of my illustrations.
The font is a product of the design process, and is used directly as part of the Vibrating Tarot deck of cards, on the backs of the cards, on the box art, as well as in the marketing of the Tarot deck.
I am permitted to use these illustrations in the scope of the Vibrating Tarot project, but I am not permitted to make them available for all of you to use.
Technically, it is possible to make the Vibrating Font available for people to download and use on their own computer systems...but it is not discussed in the licensing agreement for the deck of cards, and permission has not been granted otherwise.
If the font, at some point in time, ever becomes available for individuals to download, it will be made available under a “free for non commercial use” licensing agreement, and the free download will have come to fruition as a separate endeavour to the Vibrating Tarot deck of cards.
Please see the other fonts that I‘ve designed and made available for free. They can be seen on this website by visiting our Font Design page, and they can all be downloaded by following the link below which will take you to DaFont.com
The Vibrating Tarot Font is very close to being finished, but I’m still in the process of seeking approval from every company involved. When they agreed to be part of Vibrating Tarot, the didn’t agree to be included in this font, so I need to touch base with everyone first in order to get the green light.
The font will be free for non commercial use, so we’ll all be able to use it in personal projects, or for educational purposes, but we won’t be able to print the images on t-shirts or coffee mugs and sell them for a profit.
I can’t give you a date, I can only tell you that I hope that the font will be available for you preceding the crowdfunding campaign, as a way of catching new eyes leading up to the Kickstarter campaign.
If that doesn't happen, I'd still be grateful to the participating companies to be able to make the font available to all of you at any time in the future.
Making this font available, for free, for these purposes is just a small way of giving back to the community who helping to make this project a success so far.
